Les lumières de Noël sont presque toutes accrochées à Aix-en-Provence! Les sentiments de la saison me font penser à ma famille aux États-Unis. Ils me manquent énormément! La fête de Thanksgiving est le sujet de toutes les conversions à l’Institut Américain. C’est donc le moment où les étudiants désirent ardemment faire une tarte à la citrouille ensemble. Nous avons quatre semaines avant que nous puissions passer les vacances avec les personnes qui sont les plus proches de nos cœurs. Nous apprenons de nos traditions diverses et nous partageons un certain bonheur que l’air froid et l’odeur du sapin nous apportent.
La sensation que je vis pendant tout l’hiver est l’intimité; l’idée d’être ensemble. C’est une saison de découverte de l’un l’autre, une saison de famille, une saison des enfants, et une saison des amoureux. Sophie a capturé des regards dans les yeux de ce couple qui expriment la connexion qui, je pense, est présente constamment pendant cette saison. Bien que je partage quelques unes de mes propres idées de l’intimité et l’amour de l’hiver, je trouve que l’importance et la beauté de ces moments devraient être réalisés par chacun de nous. Pour preserver les sentiments de cette saison, il n’y a rien de plus beau qu’une photo pure, intime, et significative.

The Christmas lights are almost all hung in Aix-en-Provence! The feelings of the season make me think of my family in the United States. I miss them so much! Thanksgiving is the subject of all conversions at the American Institute, and it must be said that the students are eager to make a pumpkin pie together. We have four weeks before we can spend the holidays with the people who are closest to our hearts. We learn about our own diverse traditions and we share a certain happiness that the cold air and the smell of the pine trees bring us.
The sensation that follows me throughout winter is togetherness. It’s a season of learning about one another, a season of family, a season of family, a season of children, and a season of love. Sophie has captured the looks in the eyes of this couple that express the connection that I think is constantly present in the moments of this season. Although I share some of my own feelings of togetherness and love of winter, I find that the importance and beauty of these moments should be realized. To preserve the feelings of the season, there is nothing more beautiful than a pure, intimate, and significant photo.
